"Friends with Benefits" Contest !

Did the holiday rush of titles leave you out in the cold? Wish you had a friend to help you pick up one of the games you missed? Sounds like the perfect time to make GLG your personal best friend !

Starting December 12th 2009 and ending January 12th, 2010, we will be holding a promotional event where we will give one lucky person a free retail game of thier choice to help ring in the new year ! Not only that, but you can earn mutliple chances to win!

Details:
To Earn Chances:
- Become a friend of GLG on facebook - 1 chance earned
- Sign up on the GLG forums and post 25 posts (non spam) - 1 chance earned
- Recruit a friend who either becomes a friend on our FB page, forums (and posts 25 posts), or both - 1 chance earned PER friend

Prize Details:
- The winner will be able to claim any game of thier choosing, but the maximum price allowed is $60.00 Dollars (US Currency - not including shipping, thats on us also) and the winner MUST live in the continental United States.
- The winner MAY choose MORE than one game IF the total of ALL games total out at $60.00 dollars or less (for those who liked a used bargin bin run)
- Friends referred MUST alert the staff of WHO referred them in order to count as an additional chance to win. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of friends you can refer.
- As always, staff are not eligible to win.

Alright now I've got it posted 3 times on Playfire. It's in my Micro blog which will let the whole site see it and it's in Achievement Whores and the Xbox Group. I'll have to make mention of it in my Video blog.

so that's 2, eh?
and i have way over 25 posts, so is it every 25 posts gets you another chance, or is 25 the cutoff?

Yes, you have 2 chances. One for the FB friendship, one for having a profile on the forums with 25 posts.

However, it does stop at 25, so yes, that is the cutoff.

You can always refer friends who meet the criteria (either or) for more chances

how is the winner chosen?

You earn a chance for posting 25+ posts. You earn a chance for being a FB friend. You can earn a chance PER FRIEND that meets one of the two criteria. Every chance is a number assigned.
Once we tally up all of the chances (in this example, lets say u had two chances earned, and they are numbers 44 and 45)
We will use an automated number picker program to select the lucky number.
So if we had people earn 500 chances total (between everyone) and the number picked is yours, you win it.
Thus, the more chances you earn, the better the odds of your number being picked, since you had more numbers.
It sounds more complicated than it is, trust me

it's cool. was just wondering by what system of selection you used, like throwing names in a hat per how many chances or as you said, a number selector.

We got someone to "friend" us on Facebook. They'll need to be added to the contestant list.

I say make them sign up on here if they've added you as a friend on facebook!

Not a bad idea brendon, but that felt a little forceful, so I figured make it two chances, instead of one requirement ;p

How will you be able to tell which person on facebook is linked with which profile on here/on xbox?

I wont have to. Im using a number system so all chances = a number on a list. So the more numbers you have, the more chances you have. Simple and effective.

For referrrals though, the referree NEEDS to contact me and tell me who sent them to count though.

yeah, you'll get 1 chance for being on GLG and making the posts, then you'll get another chance for being a fan on Facebook
