As you may or may not know, the resolution for MW2 was announced today with the game being displayed at 600p.
My gripe is an obvious one. With as many people who have invested in HD technology already, and more and more following suit everyday, when it comes to video games, where is the value in it? I have my awesome 1080p HDTV yet I have zero games available in that resolution. One of the main reasons for me even buying the TV was this generation of games. The trade-off here is supposedly 60fps, whereas many a game is roughly 30. Does that even matter? Can't there be a better medium here? If and when games are made available in 1080p/i, is the price going to be affected?
Maybe the Call Of Duty series doesn't necessarily warrant a high resolution like that, maybe it does. We are how many years into this generation, and all I am saying is it's about time developers kicked it up a notch.
